The help system in TPT offers the following documents and help tools:

Context-sensitive help (F1)

Press F1 to activate the context-sensitive help. According to the view you are working in, the respective help topic opens.

Context-sensitive help in the assessment script

When you write an Script assesslet and use the autocompletion (shortcut Ctrl+Space) to insert functions, you can browse a list of the available TPT functions. A description will be displayed for each of the functions and also an example on how to use the function. You can type a function in the assessment script, for example TPT.getID, place the cursor anywhere in this function and press F1 to open the context-sensitive help system.

Tooltips

A tooltip appears when you hover with the mouse over transitions or states in any graphical automaton. Tooltips for diagrams are by default deactivated. To activate them, click Options|Show Tooltips.

PDF files

All help topics are also presented in PDF files; click Help|PDF to choose from the list. Also two quick reference guides are available from there: Assessment Quick Reference and Test Modeling Quick Reference.

Examples

Over twenty examples on how to use TPT are available. Go to Help|Examples and select one of the example files from the list or see Examples. The corresponding help topic will be displayed in the Help view as you open the example.
